Week Seven and Eight with Prisma

At the start of my seventh week with Prisma we worked on disconnecting some people from one of the VLAN servers at Prisma. This task involved looking at the switch on the server rack for the VLAN and making sure that there was no one connected to it at the time and if there was we would have to go to their computer and take them off that VLAN before disconnecting the patch panels on the server rack. We also worked on getting a new portion of the warehouse ready for a move we finished. A few things we had to do involved making sure the ports out on the floor were ready to have equipment connected to them in order to get internet. Using patch cables we plugged in the correct ports on the switch and tested them using a laptop to see if we got a connection.

At the end of week seven, on Saturday, we were able to move out the last people from their old place of work by moving their computers and making sure they were connected temporarily before their desks came.
Week eight started with going around and fixing problems that people had with their machines. Thursday came and it was the day desks were being put in place so we had to make sure that we configured the ports again and move everyone's items onto the new desks. While the desks were being installed it was a waiting game so we worked on more tech support.

  1. Hi Cristian. So eight already? WOW. How do you feel about your experience so far as the internship approaches its conclusion? Will you be applying with them on future opportunities or will you try another company? Either way good job!!
I did my first internship with Wells Fargo last summer (2018) and I was so pleased with my experience, I decided to go ahead and apply for this summer (2019) for the Charlotte location. I ended up getting the position, and I am really excited and nervous all in one sweep.
