Week Six with Prisma

Week six at Prisma was one of the more relaxed weeks. I spent my time during the first day creating new labels with QR codes to place on the PCs and Macs located at Prisma. This is the first step to taking inventory of all of the computers we have as well as the software on each computer. with over 400 computers to take inventory of I had to create an excel sheet with all of the computers that were entered into the database and make note of which ones have been scrapped and ones that have had hard drives switched out of them which changes their number in the database.

So far I have created labels for all of the 400s and 300s which leaves the 200s, 100s, and 1s to be completed. During this time I was also given the task of replacing a monitor for a workstation that was setup and setting up new monitors for a new workstation. Next week will be more eventful as we are expecting to move computers from one building to another and making sure they are setup correctly and marked for the audit.
